Mission Grandfather Clock

"Mission refers generally to rectilinear American furniture of the Arts and Crafts movement.  The term was apparently coined with reference to the simple, solid furniture of the Spanish missions in California. Its believed to have been first applied to work buy Joseph McHugh but subsequently adopted almost universally in the marketing campaigns of major American furniture manufacturers. Much of this furniture was originally inspired by Gustav Stickley's Craftsman line of furniture."

I always thought I would like to build a Grandfather Clock.  So I Picked out a design  that I liked and  not too complicated . The Heritage Mission Style clock was perfect  and besides,  being a box maker,  I  like straight lines. This is a project I would recommend to any one who wants a  tall case clock in their home. It is a project for the intermediate woodworker and can be build in a month  depending how much time in a day you have.

The sound is absolutely beautiful!

If you would like to take on this project drop me an E-mail and I will be more that happy to answer any questions you may have . I enjoyed this project so much that I am building another one.
