Keep in mind that each box is individually made.  I do not mass produce these boxes . Therefore each box is unique. I have found that one of a kind  seems to be preferred. I can build you a similar DForti'n Signature Box but  it will still be a one of a kind."

Taking care of your investment :


Regular dusting with a lint free soft cloth can keep your jewelry box looking new. Cheesecloth works very well. Believe it or not, do not use feather dusters, as these may scratch the surface. Because the surface is waxed.

If the wood appears dull or dry, try rubbing a small amount of a good bees wax (Bri-Wax natural is used on  D.W.F. boxes) or other wood furniture polish into the surface with a soft paper towel, dry cloth, or cheese cloth. Do not let excess oil or wax sit on the surface.

Do not place your box in direct sunlight, as this may discolour the wood. Avoid extreme changes in heat and humidity which may warp the wood. Do not submerge in water, and quickly wipe off any water that may accidentally touch the wood. Do not use abrasive cleaners or any other cleaner not made for wood products.

All D.W.F. Jewelry Boxes are oil and wax finishes. Small scratches can be buffed out using the finest grade (0000) steel wool or 1000-1500 grit sand paper and gently rubbing with the grain, then applying oil or wax , or both if desired. If you do decide to oil the box,  it's best to let is sit for about 72hrs before applying your wax.

Proper care of your investment will insure use and enjoyment for generations.

       All Ebony is rare and expensive, and becoming harder to find. The tree's black bark covers a white sapwood, but only the hard brown or black heartwood at the core is the source of  Ebony.  This brittle heartwood comes from India, Sri Lanka & Africa.
